Preparing for Battle
Provided as a free download, this course is available at www.salvationist.ca/helps. Provides a balanced approach, though it may be difficult to keep younger students interested and its military style of presentation needs an update.

· Participants are challenged with Army beliefs, life application and commitment consistent with our theology

This relatively new course, also known as Salvationism 101, provides participants with a ...jump in head-firsto introduction to The Salvation Army's origins and present-day mission. Early Army endeavours are described and challenges for the present are given that attest to the level of commitment required of soldiers. Material is offered to cover everything from basic to advanced levels of training.

A Cause to Die For
This set of four DVDs from The Salvation Army in Australia has a fast-paced presentation. It is historically accurate and inspiring for those who would dare to be modern-day warriors in The Salvation Army. An excellent supplement to traditional workbook-style soldiership preparation classes.
